Volunteer One-On-One Mentor
The one-on-one mentors must be current college juniors or beyond. Each one-on-one mentor will be placed with a current high school student to help them prepare college applications or explore career opportunities based on their interests. This is a great way to have a big impact on a youth’s life, for a relatively small time commitment.
After receiving training from our staff on delivering college and career success curricula, you will be assigned a mentee who you will work with as he or she moves towards college. Expectations are that you will work with your student for a minimum of one hour a week to make sure they are staying on track and provide advice on careers, college, financial and scholarship applications essay writing, creating a resume, and applying for employment.
