A Unique, Fun, One-Time Library Volunteer Event!

We are seeking 40-50 fun-loving volunteers to assist us with a guerilla marketing initiative called "Get Outside the Lines" on Monday, September 15 th from 3-5 p.m.

Think of this as a "show-your-love-for-the-library, patron appreciation" opportunity.

All you need to do is:

• Attend oneof the following prep meetings at the Arvada Library:
  • Saturday, Sept. 6 th - 2:30-3:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Sept. 9 th - 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Wear a red t-shirt and show up at your designated Library on Sept. 15 to create a patron-appreciation experience outside the Library (there will be 6-8 other volunteers with you-it’s a team effort!)

• Help us to create some "street theater" from 3-5 p.m. -- by waving signs (provided by us), handing out giveaways (provided by us), encouraging patrons to try something new in the Library (on their way in) and capturing some patron-testimonial videos using iPhones and/or digital cameras on their way out (optional-be creative!).

Instructions will be provided at the training sessions. Invite your friends/family to join in on the fun!

This unique volunteer opportunity is part of JCPL’s participation in Outside the Lines, a statewide initiative designed to get people thinking and talking about libraries in a new way.
