Every fall, York Village Association hosts Marketfest on the Village Green in York, Maine. Marketfest is a 2-day festival in conjunction with Museums of Old York and First Parish Church featuring live music, historic reenactments, artisan demonstrations and other special events. Food vendors participate in selling their hearty fare and festival favorites while artisans of all kinds have their art and wares available for sale.
Volunteers are needed now for developing, planning, and organizing the festival.
Additionally, volunteers are needed for both festival days.
- Friday, October 16th, 9-5pm
- Saturday, October 17th, 9-4pm
On festival days, volunteers are needed for the following roles:
- Set-up
- Clean-up
- Soda/Water Concession Sales
- Information Booth Attendant
- Vendor Coffee/Snacks Attendant
- Raffle Table Sales

Description
York Village Association is a newer organization established in 2010 by individuals interested in promoting, preserving, and enhancing the historic charm of York Village.
Located in the center of town, York Village consists of a cluster of historical buildings and upscale boutiques visited by tourists and residents alike. Every fall, York Village Association hosts it's Marketfest on the Village Green. Marketfest is a 2-day festival featuring live music, historic reenactments, artisan demonstrations and other special events. Food vendors particiapte in selling their hearty fare and festival favorites. Artisans of all kinds have their art and wares available.
Volunteers of York Village Association work to promote York Village and Marketfest. Because we're a young organization, we welcome thoughts on improving Marketfest as well as new ideas on additional events to bring people together in York Village.
