Sutter Care at Home Hospice in San Francisco is seeking volunteers with a history of military service to help us provide quality end of life care for the veterans we serve.
Hospice volunteers provide emotional and practical support for patients and their families. Simply providing a compassionate presence and a listening ear can make a real difference.
We recognize that veterans have unique needs and may feel most comfortable connecting with a volunteer who is also a vet.
The majority of our patients reside in their own homes. Volunteer activities take place throughout the city of San Francisco.
An application and interview are required and a thorough training is provided.
