PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Did you know that one blood donation can save up to three lives? The American Red Cross is looking for volunteers to help at community blood drives. Volunters are needed as greeters and canteen workers. Volunteers who serve as greeters help welcome blood donors as they arrive at the blood drive, check them in through a simple registration process, and provide important reading material for them. Volunteers who serve in the canteen area provide refreshments to donors following their donation and watch to be sure they are recovering well. If you would like to help with this vital activity in your community we would love to hear from you! Requirements: -Good interpersonal skills. -Successful completion of a volunteer application process including an orientation and background check.
OPEN TIME DAYS
Four-hour shifts.｠
Commitment to at least one blood drive per month is preferable but not required.｠
A variety or schedules are available.
REQUIRED TRAININGOn the job training provided.
