ORGANIZATION: Camp Fire Minnesota

Camp Fire Minnesota provides the opportunity for all youth to find their spark, lift their voice, and discover who they are. Camp Fire works in collaboration with other community-based groups to offer enrichment programs for youth when and where they need them. Camp Fire is inclusive and welcoming to all children, youth, and adults.

What you will do: Assist Club Leaders during academic time as well as group activities for youth clubs (ages 5-12 years old) in affordable housing communities. Support youth in one-on-one and small group activities and tutoring in the Camp Fire Club Program. Volunteers bring their unique skills to help the children of Camp Fire develop into empowered and confident members of their community.

Description

Camp Fire USA is an all-inclusive, coeducational youth development organization helping young people be better stewards of their communities, their world and themselves. Camp Fire USA serves nearly three-quarters of a million young people annually with community-based experiential learning programs that are socially responsible and environmentally focused. Founded in 1910, Camp Fire USA is one of America's oldest national youth development organizations.

The Minnesota Council of Camp Fire USA has had a local presence since 1923. More than 4,500 Twin Cities area boys and girls are involved in a variety of Camp Fire programs.
