Make a Difference!! Do you have an interest in making our community safer? Do you have a genuine willingness to help others? Consider being part of our mission: People helping people transition from incarceration into community. Volunteers needed to be in weekly support group meetings for ex-offenders recently released from incarceration. Opportunities include providing support at weekly Circles of Support meetings, conducting intakes with new participants, meeting 1:1 with participants, and/or transporting participants. Be a part of the solution. All interested volunteers over age 22 encouraged to inquire. People Helping People Transition from Incarceration to the Community
Description
Community Circles of Support utilizes volunteers to meet weeky in group meetings to offer pro-social support to men and women recently released from prison. Volunteers listen, encourage, cheerlead, build rapport, identify barriers to success, and make connections for the participant in the community. Participants voluntarily attend the Circle meetings. The goal of Circles is to reduce recidivism and make our communities safer. Circles works in Manitowoc, Fond du Lac, Oshkosh, the Fox Valley, and Green Bay, Wisconsin.
