ORGANIZATION: After the Harvest

We need volunteers to help us pick Asian Pears, on Saturdays, in Conception Junction and distribute it to local food pantries. A field supervisor will provide instructions as to what to pick and how to pick it. A gleaning lasts 2 - 3 hours. We are an organization of 2 people, so your help is crucial. Last year we provided over 250,000 pounds of food to Harvester’s and local pantries through gleaning, but we could have saved millions more. Please help us!!

After the Harvest rescues nutritious fruits and vegetables from going to waste and donates them to agencies that serve hungry people, primarily in Greater Kansas City.

Description

Our volunteers glean after the harvest, picking what’s left in farmers’ fields and picking up already harvested leftover produce and distributing them to local food pantries and food banks that serve the great KC metro. After the Harvest, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
