Join us on Sunday morning, October 4th, at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk,CT, as a Walk Day Volunteer at our biggest fundraiser as we pursue our vision of a world without Alzheimer's. Come interact with hundreds of volunteers and over 1,500 walkers at this morning of inspriation and hope. Sign up with a friend or family member to help in any number of volunteer opportunities, from registering walkers to passing out t-shirts, food and drinks. Want to Walk too ? No problem. The Alzheimer’s Association’s mission is to eliminate Alzheimer’s Disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
Description
The Connecticut Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association depends on the commitment and dedication of its volunteers. We have a variety of opportunities to offer volunteers throughout the state of Connecticut. Volunteers help us run special events, work in our offices, deliver education and programs, act as advocates and speakers in the community, staff our helplines and run Support Groups, as examples. Our volunteers are passionate and enthusiastic members of our team without whom we could not work towards an end to the Alzheimer's disease.
