Play-Place for Autistic Children is in need of 20-25 volunteers to work on our behalf!
Location: Family Days for Children with Autism at the Arts, Beats & Eats Festival in Royal Oak on Monday, September 1, 2014 from either
9:15 am to 12:15 pm
OR
10:30 am to 2:30 pm.
Duties for the first shift may include working at the gate, collecting tickets, passing out water bottles, etc.
Duties for the second shift may include collecting tickets, passing out lunch items, etc.
Wristbands and shuttle parking will be provided.
Be a part of a great, fun community event, help families affected by autism enjoy a special day together and help Play-Place at the same time!

Through a unique play-powered environment, we combine recreation and education with a variety of social, occupational and physical therapeutic overtones. Description
Our 17,000 square foot, one-of-a-kind facility, consists of a computer cafe for interactive academic skill building & communication; an "Art of Autism" Art Studio for creative expression, art therapy, peer relationship building and self-esteem enrichment; music and movement activities, a Haircut Hut for a soothing, grooming experience; a Bistro/coffee shop for that "me-too" conversation, sharing & a chance to exhale; and much more!
