The Administrative Volunteer assists FACETS' program staff and members around the office wih filing, copying, making phone calls, and office organization. This opportunity is best suited for the technologically savvy as there will be many opportunties to work with Microsoft Office programs and perform web searches. A typical schedule is about 4 - 10 hours a week for the duration of a semester (3 - 4 months). Withouth the support of an administrative volunteer, many of our needed tasks would be neglected as we have a very small staff all working toward a very large mission. This is a valuable role and deeply appreciated by the entire FACETS team.

About FACETS
Location:
10700 Page Avenue, Building B, Fairfax, VA 22030, US
Mission Statement
FACETS opens doors by helping parents, their children, and individuals who suffer the effects of poverty - so often unnoticed - in Fairfax County. We meet their emergency shelter, food, and medical needs, help them gain safe, sustainable, and permanent housing, and work with them to end the cycle of homelessness and poverty through educational, life skills, and career counseling programs.
Description
FACETS envisions a day when everyone in Fairfax County has access to adequate and affordable housing and nobody is homeless. We seek to engage and educate our community in providing long-term solutions and resources to break the cycle of poverty for our neighbors in need.
