PLACEMENT PURPOSE
The Preparedness and Health and Safety Services Instructors primary responsibility is to instruct American Red Cross classes.
OPEN TIME DAYS
Training to become an instructor will take approximately 22 hours, not including co teaching. Once you are certified to teach, class time is approximately four to eight hours per class including preparation, set-up, teaching and cleaning equipment when required.
Teach a minimum of 2 classes a year.⦆
Instructor's are needed daytime, evenings or weekends
REQUIRED TRAININGSuccessful completion of volunteer instructor training program which includes certification in the basic level course (6 hours) and Instructor training (16 hours).
Co teach with an experienced instructor until comfortable to teach on your own.⦆
