ORGANIZATION: Emma Norton Services

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 2 people are interested

A brand new family will be moving into one of our townhomes at Emma's Place.

We need a group of volunteers who can help us get it ready and make it welcoming and feel like home. You would be helping clean the unit from a previous family and make sure that it is all ready to go for a new family. Please let us know what day would work best for you to come in.

Emma Norton actively combats poverty by providing housing and supportive services for women and families. Emma's Place provides housing for 13 families with 3 or more children. Please help us welcome a new family by providing them a clean and stable home to live in.

Mission Statement

The mission of Emma Norton Services is transformational housing for women and families on their journey of recovery.

Description

Emma Norton Services partners with women, children and families who are homeless and experiencing the challenges of mental and/or chemical disabilities. Without having to worry about the basic need of a safe, secure place to live, women and children can utilize and focus on supportive programs, life skills, services and opportunities available to accomplish their goals. We operate two site-based facilities in the Twin Cities, Emma Norton Residence and Emma's Place, as well as a supportive housing program in the community through our Scattered Site program.

Emma Norton Residence is a housing program in downtown St. Paul serving 50 adult women at any given time. Emma's Place in Maplewood offers permanent, supportive and affordable housing for 13 families with three or more children. After-school and children's programming includes educational, recreational, and motivational activities. Our new Scattered Site program partners with small landlords to support women and families secure housing and thrive in the community.
