United Way's nonprofit resource hotline is looking for people to help connect those in need to community resources. Volunteers are specially trained to support the 2-1-1 call center staff. Volunteers will conduct Customer Service Call Backs, to ensure community members are linked to the resources they need.
You'll also contact nonprofits to update the services they offer in the 2-1-1 database, which allows the 2-1-1 staff to make the best possible recommendations to clients. Opportunities to dispurse information about 2-1-1 at fairs is also available.

Description
The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Volunteers of America provides volunteer opportunities for individuals 55 years and older to use their skills, insight and lifetime experiences to assist residents and non-profit agencies in the county. RSVP also offers a variety of programs which provide services and enhance the quality of life for seniors.
