Do you like working with horses?
Our adaptive horsemanship program needs volunteers! Our organization supports adults with developmental disabilities. We need volunteers to support their success.
Volunteers will help clients groom and feed the horses and muck the stalls. We need volunteers to walk beside clients on the horse (for balance and added confidence). We also need volunteers to help lead the horses in the arena.
Experience with horses preferred.

To provide residential services for adults with developmental disabilities with dignity and respect, and through a safe, structured, healthy, home-like environment. Residents are encouraged to reach their full potential, feeling safe, secure, needed, and wanted.
Description
Mandy's Farm is much more than a home for adults with developmental disabilities. It is a fully-functional 4-acre farm in the South Valley of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
We offer
- Aqua Therapy in our indoor, heated pool
- Therapeutic Horse Riding through our partner organization Cloud Dancers
- Therapeutic Gardening activities
- Cooking and Nutrition Programs
We have goats, chickens, guinea hens, turkeys, cats, a dog, and horses. There is also a large organic garden, an orchard, pasture, and an indoor swimming pool. Our residents live at the farm, and recieve high-quality, 24-hour care.
We invite volunteers of all ages and abilities to spend time at Mandy's Farm. We also volunteer at other community gardens and non-profit organizations on weekends.
