Housed and managed by the Monroe County Opportunity Program, seeks to make getting food assistance more normal, user friendly and provide more choices. Help low income citizens shop for food in a grocery store type setting. Volunteers do intakes, assist with food selection process, stock shelves and bag purchases.

Using the skills and experience of citizens 55 years of age and older, Monroe County RSVP seeks to improve lives, strengthen communities and foster civic engagement through service and volunteerism.
Description
Retired and senior volunteers match their passions and interests with identified community needs. The RSVP volunteer chooses the type of experience they wish to have, and how often and how long they wish to serve. Volunteers can tap developed skills or expand into whole new areas of choice.
