The Bascom Branch of the San Jose Public Library will be offering a program called Adventures in Preschool Science to children during the month of August.
Children will learn basic principles of science through exploratory stations and simple experiments. If you like to work with children and are willing to demonstrate how fun science can be, then we want you!
The weekly themes are Magnets, Body, Water, and Chemistry. After a brief storytime and introduction to the topic, children will be able to explore different stations for hands-on learning. Volunteers will be asked to assist with setting up and breaking down these stations, as well as helping the children as they explore.
