The Hagley Car Show attracts 600 antique cars and has about 10,000 visitors during the day. Automobile themed music entertains all day and two parades of feature cars show off their stuff. Food vendors are available all day as well. This is a rain or shine event.
Bring your friends, colleagues, and/or family to make a group of people and help Hagley! We need 40-50 volunteers to assist with parking cars at this popular annual Car Show, Sunday, September 20.
Volunteers will:
- direct visitors coming to the show into the parking areas,
- keep the traffic moving as safely and quickly as possible,
- help people leaving the parking areas and fill in the empty spaces in the middle of the day,
- and have a great time together and helping Hagley.
Volunteers for the parking need to be able to stand and walk on grassy, uneven, sloped ground. If you are not able to be as physically active as the parking assistant requires, we do have other roles in different areas that you may be able to assist with.
Time commitment is 9am-3pm, and you will rotate shifts to have time to be able to enjoy the show, have a lunch break and have a free ice cream treat. Training will be held Thursday, September 17, time TBD.
If interested, submit an application through Hagley's website at: http://www.hagley.org/volunteer-opportunities and click on volunteer application. For more information contact Angela Williamson at 302 658-2400, ext 257, or email awilliamson@hagley.org.

Mission Statement
Hagley Museum and Library collects, preserves, and interprets the unfolding history of American enterprise. Hagley is located on 235 acres by the Brandywine River in Wilmington, Delaware.
Description
Located on 235 acres along the banks of the Brandywine River in Wilmington, Delaware, Hagley is the site of the gunpowder works founded by E. I. du Pont in 1802. This example of early American industry includes restored mills, a workers' community, and the ancestral home and gardens of the du Pont family.
Hagley's library furthers the study of business and technology in America, especially the Middle Atlantic region. The collections include individuals' papers and companies' records ranging from eighteenth-century merchants to modern telecommunications and illustrate the impact of the business system on society.
The Center for the History of Business, Technology, and Society organizes and administers the Hagley Museum and Library's interaction with the world of scholarship. It brings attention to Hagley's research collections and generates intellectual dialogue at Hagley.
