YMCA READS! is a year-round program, which operates after school at public elemtary schools, as well as daily during the summer at local YMCA branches. Become a trained volunteer mentor working with pairs of students, completing reading lessons or listening to them read, and discussing their books with them. Volunteer mentors may also assist with other activities such as word games, fun reading activities or individual creative projects. As a YMCA READS! mentor you can help a child discover the world.
