Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Girl Scouts of Northeast Kansas and Northwest Missouri, Inc.

  • 6 people are interested

The Girl Scout Outreach Program seeks volunteers with a passion for serving girls in low-income neighborhoods. Outreach troops meet weekly in afterschool settings while school is in session. You can request to work with the age group that you prefer (Daisy, Brownie or Junior) or go where you are needed the most. Volunteers can be college students, parents, retired adults or any responsible person excited about this service opportunity. Depending on your availability, you could volunteer once per month or several times per month.

Assistant Program Leaders are paired with a Program Leader who is responsible for the curriculum and supplies. Some things an Assistant Program Leader may be responsible for include set-up, leading activities (if/when you are comfortable), engaging with the girls through the meeting and helping girls when they are struggling with an activity.
