ORGANIZATION: Altus Hospice

  • 7 people are interested

You served your country with pride and dedication. Now your fellow veterans need you to serve again. As a Hospice Volunteer you can be there for these brave men and women in the toughest battles they have ever faced. Veterans like you, who will simply just "be there" during the final hours of life, even if it is just to hold the hand of another veteran. Any veteran can participate in this special & much needed service. This would be perfect for those with very flexible schedules. Volunteers will be assigned based upon their availability to a location close to where you live. This program aims to provide support for a fellow veteran so that they do not need to fight their final battle alone. Training will be provided at no charge.

Note: You do not have to be a minister. Your shared experience as a veteran and your compassion for your fellow veterans is all that is required.
