Mission Statement
Audubon's mission is to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the earth's biological diversity. Description
The Trinity River Audubon Center is a flagship project for the National Audubon Society. Situated on 120 acres in the Great Trinity Forest - the largest urban hardwood forest in the U.S. - TRAC is housed in a LEED-certified interpretive nature center with over 50% of the space dedicated to classrooms, labs, and interactive learning spaces. The Trinity River Audubon Center will offer a wide range of educational programs and recreational activities to all ages. Volunteers play an essential role in reaching out to 25,000 young students and in helping visitors from all over connect and re-connect with nature.
