Are you tech savvy? Do you enjoy working with K-12 students? If so, you can make a difference in a Sarasota County student's life by helping out in one of our Digital Learning Labs!

Digital Learning Labs, an initiative of the Education Foundation of Sarasota County, provide a safe and supportive environment where underserved students can access computers, internet and training.

We are currently looking for creative and patient volunteers for the 2014-15 school year. Some lab locations that will need assistance soon include:

• Glenallen Elementary School
• Toledo Blade Elementary School
• Brentwood Elementary School
• North Port Public Library
• Selby Public Library

As a Digital Learning Lab trainer, you'll:

• Facilitate students’ completion of self-directed, educational software
• Work one-on-one to develop students' computer skills
• Help students use the computers for homework, research, etc.
• Monitor and track student progress
• Engage students and parents to participate in the training program
