Every year, we run the 100 Mile Club Endurance Challenge. The route for the 100 Mile Club Endurance Challenge is a 50- and 100- mile race that cuts through the heart and hugs the coast of Southern California. Athletes who participate in this event will run through three counties and 20 cities. This event starts at the 100 Mile Club headquarters in Norco, CA on Oct. 18, 2014 at 7:00am and finishes some time the next day at the Santa Monica Pier. There is a 30-hour time limit for this course. All proceeds go to the 100 Mile Club charity. We have 4 hour positions available. Beyond its importance, this is a fun event! And the runners are always very appreciative for the help they receive at the check-in stations. If you are interested in one of the positions, please let me know and I can provide more details. http://100ec.org/

Mission Statement
The 100 Mile Club provides the opportunity to run or walk 100 miles at school during a single school year which improves school readiness to learn, creates better educational outcomes, building self-esteem and the overall health in the lives of children and others.
Description
Inspired by the 1992 Olympics, special education teacher Kara Lubin used the dream of becoming a gold medalist to inspire her hard-to-motivate students. That year, The 100 Mile Club was born from a simple idea, run 100 miles and earn a medal. With incentives given along the way, including our unique milestone t-shirt, lessons in goal-setting, determination, and team spirit are delivered alongside exercise.
