The committee’s role is to successfully plan and implement the fundraising event with Special Olympics Southern California.
Time Commitment: Starting 6 months prior to event
Meetings: Once a month in Long Beach
Members Responsibilities:
- Attend monthly meetings in Long Beach
- Serve on a sub-committee
- Auction Committee
- Decorating Sub-Committee
- Event Program Sub-Committee
- Assist with securing silent and live auction items
- Secure sponsorships from your contacts or resources
- Provide the names and addresses of your contacts for invitations and sponsorship opportunities

The mission of Special Olympics Southern California is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community. Our vision is to promote acceptance, inclusion, and wellbeing for people with intellectual disabilities through sports.
