ORGANIZATION: The Bridge - Dallas' Homeless Recovery Center

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

We are grateful to be transitioning from traditional shelter mats to shelter pods which will encase a mattress for 150 guests in our emergency shelter.

We are in need of a volunteer group, between 5-10 people, with at least one truck, to load the shelter mats, take them across the street to a parking lot, and powerwash them down until they're sparkling clean for one of our shelter partners to use. We will be donating these mats.

The mats dry quickly, and should dry within an hour. Ideally, we would love for the volunteer group to load the mats, once dry, back onto the truck and deliver to the donor (a shelter in Dallas), or if that isn't possible, we can have the group bring back the mats for storage.

Due to our timeline, we anticipate needing this project day to take place on a SATURDAY MORNING (*between 8am-1pm*) within the next month (end of August)!

Please e-mail the volunteer coordinator if you are interested!
