The Enrollment HUB at Allen Temple is looking for volunteers to join our team of Health Navigators!
As a Volunteer Health Navigator, you will serve as a health advocate for community members by providing them with education, tools, and support to enroll into health coverage, connect to medical care, and lead healthy lives.
Volunteer opportunities include but are not limited to:
- Providing assistance with weekly enrollment (intake/follow-up)
- Community presentations
- Information and tabling during community events
- Option to become a Certified Enrollment Counselor with Covered CA

Mission Statement
The mission of Allen Temple Health and Social Services Ministries is to strengthen and stabilize families by assisting them to create and maintain healthy environments. The ministries are dedicated to supporting the economically disadvantaged with education, spiritual support, and exposure to positive approaches to life.
Description
In January 2014, Allen Temple launched The Enrollment Hub at Allen Temple, a new program that provides healthcare enrollment services into Covered CA, Medi-Cal, and HealthPAC (Alameda County's Low income Health Plan). The Hub even provides enrollment into the Cal-Fresh, also known as the food stamp program.
Enrollment services are provided weekly in partnerhsip with three local community health centers and the Alameda County Social Services Department. In addtion to on-site enrollment services provdided, The Enrollment Hub also provides education around the ACA and healthcare enrollment to staff and local community groups through participation in trainings, workshops, and health fairs.
