Heartland Hospice is looking for talented individuals to give the gift of music, to the terminally ill and elderly community. This is a great opportunity for anyone who would enjoy bringing comfort and sharing their musical talents, to someone who is facing life's end. Music Therapy creates a calming atmosphere for patients that allows for them to relax and divert attention away from their pain and illness. You do not need to be a professional to participate. The goal of this program is to lift the emotional spirits of the patient, improve morale, increase energy levels, and provide stress relief through music as part of addressing the whole health of our patients. If you are musically inclined and/or can sing or play an instrument this is the opportunity for you! Please contact Jennifer Hickman, volunteer coordinator at 626-918-1207.
