Mission Statement
The Children’s Trust Fund exists to change outcomes in all children ages zero to 18 to ensure the protective factors are in place.
Description
The Montana Children's Trust Fund provides financial support to local programs across the state to prevent child abuse and neglect and to strengthen families. When families are supported, children are less likely to be at risk for child maltreatment and more likely to grow up happier and healthier.
We believe that Montana’s children are the state’s greatest assets. Today’s children are the leaders of tomorrow. We hold their future in our hands, and our future is in their hands. Top priorities for Montana’s Children’s Trust Fund are:
- Funding effective, primary prevention programs in local communities throughout Montana and enhancing communities' capacity to prevent child abuse and neglect
- Supporting public education that increase participants' knowledge and understanding of child abuse and neglect prevention, and strengthening families and communities
- Increasing positive parenting skills
