ASRA's San Diego Ducks Sled Hockey Program needs volunteers! Sled hockey is similar to typical ice hockey except the equipment - physically disabled players sit in sleds mounted on two hockey skate blades and they carry two sticks with metal picks on the butt ends for propelling. You can be on the ice helping a disabled veteran skate and pass, or off the ice fitting a helmet for a disabled child. No matter how you choose to help you will be rewarded for your hard work as your disabled hockey players grow for national and international competition.
