Mission Statement
The South Carolina Blood Services Region provides lifesaving blood to patients in 54 hospitals in South Carolina and parts of Georgia .
Description
To meet the needs of hospital patients in the region, the Red Cross must collect approximately 500 units of blood a day. The Red Cross operates community blood donation centers in Columbia , Charleston , Myrtle Beach , Florence , Sumter and Aiken, and holds mobile blood drives at various locations throughout the region.
