You will be in charge of event/workshop coordination in the Portland Metro area! We run hands-on tech-focused monthly events for our high school participants, community and skill building events for women, and partner events for organizations such as Girl Scouts and Girls Inc.
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent problem solving skills, ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Good strategic and tactical thinking
- The ability to work in a collaborative style and move others to action by planning, motivating and organizing work tasks
- Excellent interpersonal skills that establish and maintain credibility and relationships
Job Duties:
- Finds and works with venues
- Chooses time and date
- Chooses event ideas and works with volunteers to create event
- Coordinates transportation
- Finds caterer
- Works with the program manager on budget
- Documents each event
- Sends follow-up email after the event

Description
ChickTech is a multi-generational community helping each other become technology creators. We facilitate hands-on technology-centric events and mentorship to empower, support, and increase the confidence of girls, women, and non-binary folks. Through our programs, we build community, empower participants to see themselves as leaders, and provide networking and mentoring opportunities in the rapidly growing tech industry.
As a mostly volunteer-run non-profit, we are always searching for partners who would like to get involved through donations of expertise, volunteer time, in-kind, funding, or just by helping to get the word out.
