Volunteer Description:

Support the Volunteer Coordinator in logistical and on-site assistance with Project Winter Warmth. Through the generous funding provided by JUF’s Chanukah Coat Club, Jewish Child & Family Services (JCFS) & Jewish Vocational Service (JVS) is provides adults and children with new hats, gloves, coats and more this winter season. The project occurs at retail locations throughout Chicago. Available to volunteer Sundays and varying weekdays & nights, September through mid- December.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist off-site with project logistics and volunteer management
  • Enter winter clothing requests in an online database
  • Deliver winter clothing to various JCFS' offices at the completion of each project
Requirements:
  • Energetic and positive attitude
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attend off-site projects
  • Complete a background check and orientation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Access to a vehicle
