I am recruiting volunteers for one event that supports the Cully Blvd Alliance (CBA), taking place on Tuesday August 5th.
NAYA is located in the Cully Neighborhood, and through our Neighborhood office we coordinate activities with the Cully Blvd Alliance (CBA), a group of businesses in Cully dedicated to making our neighborhood a livable, wonderful place to shop, eat and live. CBA is proud to be hosting a National Night Out event at the Albertsons in Cully.
The purpose of the National Night Out event is to strengthen our neighborhood’s sense of community cohesiveness and get to know our neighbors and increase awareness of local public safety. National Night Out has been celebrated across North America on the first Tuesday of August since 1983. City of Portland’s Office of Neighborhood Involvement sponsors NNO events across the city and every year more than 20,000 people participate.
As part of the festivities the CBA will provide:
• Community tents and tables for community seating
• Free food and refreshments
• Local musicians and fun for the entire family
As a volunteer we are looking for support with set up and break down of tables, chair and tents. As well as having a few volunteers manning the games. If you are bilingual in English and Spanish we would love to have you assist in translating. The events runs from 4pm-7pm with volunteers arriving earlier (3:30pm)for set up and staying later (7:30pm) for take down. Times are flexible and if you can only assist with one you wouldn’t need to stay for the events entirety.
If you are interested in volunteering for this event please respond with your preferred tasks and time you are available. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you!
