This is our most popular activity and what most people think of when they consider helping Habitat. We build every Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 8am-3pm (lunch is provided for all volunteers on Saturdays). Please note that during July we build 8am-noon and in August we don't build. These summer hours are due to heat. September through June we build the normal 8am-3pm every Wed., Thurs., and Sat. except for holidays. Please consult our calendar about days that we will be taking off for holidays. Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age to help on our construction site. Please note that any volunteer under 18 must have an adult present with them during any volunteer activity on the job site.

Habitat for Humanity Northwest Harris County is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian organization. Our mission is founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a decent and affordable place to live in dignity and safety. We will partner with families to build affordable houses in which they can grow in responsibility for their lives, and the lives of others as they help to strengthen neighborhoods.
Description
We build affordable housing and also run a used building materials outlet to raise funds to support this mission.
