Volunteer in the North Branch Library to assist students, grades K-12, with computers, homework assignments and use of library resources.

Volunteers are needed Tuesdays from 4:00pm to 6:30pm and Saturdays from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Staff will always be on hand to assist volunteers. This is a rewarding volunteer assignment! You will know that you have directly helped the library staff and, most importantly, the youth in our community.

Potential applicants must enjoy working with children, being calm, kind and understanding to all age groups, should have knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Internet research skills, have a High School diploma and be 18 or older. All volunteers will interview with staff and complete a volunteer enrollment form. A background check will be conducted on all volunteers.

Description

The Nashville Public Library has a Main Library downtown, an Archives, a Talking Library service, and 20 branches throughout the city. Our 300 regular volunteers help us with a variety of tasks.
