Mission Statement

To provide a safe, self-sustaining community for adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities.

Description

We are a non-profit organizaion seeking board members who are passionate about the future of adults with developmental disabilities. We envision a totally integrated community where adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities will enjoy meaningful employment and social lives without being segregated from the general population.

We want to build a residential builiding that will encompass a coffee shop, amongst other businesses, where our residents will be trained to work, and revenue from the businesses will help to sustain the residents, lessening dependence on the state for funding.

Our residents will be given the opportunity to live independent of their families. We will also train those who are able and want to, to work in the general community.

Our project will be completed in two phases, and phase one will consist of a facility built using shipping containers, and will house our first day programming.
