Cornerstone Assistance Network needs a Program & Database Development AmeriCorps*VISTA member to serve with NewDay Services for Children and Families, which is located at 6816 Camp Bowie Blvd, West, Suite 112, Fort Worth, TX 76116.
Volunteer Position Start/End Dates:
November 4, 2014 - November 7, 2015
Pay:
$946 per month BEFORE taxes
Hours:
Full-time, 40 hours/week
NewDay serves fractured families and their children encountered through the Family & Juvenile Courts and Child Welfare Systems.
At NewDay Services, the Program & Database Development VISTA will address the barrier of financial sustainability for NewDay so that services in the family and juvenile court systems and child protective services can continue and grow. In 2014-2015, NewDay embarked on an evidence-based evaluation of its programs. The research leader for this project is a professor of Criminal Justice for Tarrant Community College & Texas Christian University in partnership with the Research Dept at Dallas Baptist University. Your duties will be to:
1) Work with this team to help NewDay understand how to develop better databases & capture needed information
2) Help the Programs Director evaluate the effectiveness & impact of the program data collected during the various stages of implementation over the year
3) Help NewDay validate its programs & grow sustainable funds through the reporting of program successes

Minimum Age Requirement: 18 years
Minimum Education Level: Some college - Associate's degree
