The Tahoe Rim Trail Association (TRTA) is planning its annual Tahoe Rim TrailBack Country Camps which will be held at the Marlette Peak Campground on August 1 st through 3 rd andAugust 16 th and 17 th.
The Tahoe Rim Trail Association has been hosting Backcountry Camps for over 25 years. It's a tradition at the TRTA and a great way to meet new people, work up a sweat, and enjoy a few nights out under the stars. At this year’s camp the TRTA aims to reconstruct the Marlette Peak Trail so that it can be opened back up to equestrians and mountain bikers. Participants will camp out, work hard, enjoy great food prepared by our camp chefs, and get to experience a camp camaraderie that is unlike any other!
If you want to learn new skills, meet other trail enthusiasts, and give back to your community, join the TRTA for a backcountry camp! The TRTA is seeking volunteers to assist with trail work including widening tread, clearing brush, and building rock retaining walls. In addition, the camps need kitchen volunteers to help our fantastic camp chef’s prepare hearty meals for the camp. Visit the Tahoe Rim Trail Association’s website for more information and to register.
Join us! Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome and encouraged to participate--with no prior experience necessary! Groups are also welcome to join!
