ONEgeneration hosts the Encino Farmers Market every Sunday and would like to get the word out to the surrounding homes/families. They may not know about the great produce and local farms avaialable at this community event.
Located at 17400 Victory Blvd in Van Nuys CA 91406
We would like to have a group of volunteers go on a walk in the surrounding neighborhoods with flyers letting the families that live nearby know about the Farmers Market and our upcoming Holiday Boutique.
If you love to walk and help nonprofits this is the opportunity for you. Come pick up the map of your little area and flyers, you can walk anytime between Wed. November 19 and Friday November 21. Routes will take less than 2 hours.
Great volunteer opportunity for a family or group. Great way for students to get hours. You can get a letter of completion when you are done.
ONEgeneration was founded in 1978 and includes: Adult Daycare Childcare, Senior Center, homebound meals, transportation for seniors, Care Management for homebound/frail seniors and Intergenerational programs for teen parents and At-Risk youth.

History
Founded in 1978, ONEgeneration is a multi-faceted service agency that works to improve the lives of seniors, children and their caregivers. Throughout its existence, ONEgeneration has been dedicated to maintaining and restoring the independence and quality of life of older persons. As the agency grew, so did the mission and goals. ONEgeneration now provides a solid educational and social foundation for young children. ONEgeneration Daycare is the care industryâ s premier intergenerational shared site program. It is on the vanguard of a growing movement to provide shared site child care and senior care, thereby delivering real benefits to families, students and the entire community.
