sidewalking and leading a Equest Special Rider

Equest is welcoming volunteers to prepare horses for class (groom and tack), lead horses or sidewalk during class. You must be 14 or older and able to walk for 45 minutes in a sand arena. No horse experience required. We have a training program. Sessions are Thursday nights and Saturday mornings.

Few things are more rewarding than sharing a Special Rider's joy. Won't you help? A few volunteered hours a month will make a huge difference in a Special Rider's life.

Mission Statement

Equest Special Riders, Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote physical and mental strength and coordination as well as self-esteem and enjoyment through horseback riding activities for individuals with disabilities
