Visitor Information Desk Ambassadors welcome and assist Museum visitors. They process admissions payments and memberships using the cash register and credit card machine, give directions, answer general questions, answer the Museum's primary telephone line, and route calls to the appropriate Museum employees. Volunteers serving in this position should enjoy working with the public and have great customer service and communication skills. Volunteers are needed to work at the Visitor Information Desk from 10:00 am - 1:30 pm or 1:30 pm - 5 pm, Saturdays, or 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm, Sundays. Volunteers are asked to commit to working every week or every other week.
