The Division of Child Support Services, Outreach and Community Initiatives is looking for 2 or 3 volunteers to help them with their Family Connection Fun Day.
Volunteers would help with:
- Setting up Vendor space
- Decorating (setup balloons/signs/etc.)
- Direction/Management of Vendors
- Garbage duty (check event throughout for garbage)
- Water (distribute water to attendees & vendors)
- Food (assist with dist. of food/ tell food people where to setup, etc.)
- Sign-in table (welcome guests, distribute raffle tickets and giveaway bags to everyone who attends)
- Pull raffle tickets, announce winners and give prizes
- Gym activities
- Ongoing Cleanup (water coming inside from splash pad /arts & crafts messes)
- And much more!

Description
History
The Department of Economic Security (DES) was established by the State Legislature in July 1972 by combining the Employment Security Commission, the State Department of Public Welfare, the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, the State Office of Economic Opportunity, the Apprenticeship Council and the State Office of Manpower Planning. The State Department of Mental Retardation joined the Department in 1974. The purpose in creating the Department was to provide an integration of direct services to people in such a way as to reduce duplication of administrative efforts, services and expenditures.
