Key Responsibilities:

• Enhance social media channels to maximize engagement with guests and community members
• Assist with the promotion of community and travel education events to the local and in-hostel community
• Help implement HI-Boston's newest programs from special activities to local community dinners
• Support HI-Boston's green education initiatives and aesthetic improvements
• Other duties as assigned

Supports Our Mission By:

• Creating exciting new ways for the local community to connect to HI-Boston
• Having hostellers make new connections with each other and learn more about one another's culture
• Enhancing the in-hostel vibe through new visuals, green education and building a more engaging atmosphere

Qualifications:

• Community and/or Campus outreach experience
• Interest or experience with traveling (hostels always a plus!)
• Proactive self-starter
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and GoogleDocs

Time Commitment and Work Location:

• Academic Year or Semester Commitment
• 8-12 hours per week
• Office space at HI-Boston located on 19 Stuart Street, Chinatown
