Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance social media channels to maximize engagement with guests and community members
- Assist with the promotion of community and travel education events to the local and in-hostel community
- Help implement HI-Boston's newest programs from special activities to local community dinners
- Support HI-Boston's green education initiatives and aesthetic improvements
- Other duties as assigned
Supports Our Mission By:
- Creating exciting new ways for the local community to connect to HI-Boston
- Having hostellers make new connections with each other and learn more about one another's culture
- Enhancing the in-hostel vibe through new visuals, green education and building a more engaging atmosphere
Qualifications:
- Community and/or Campus outreach experience
- Interest or experience with traveling (hostels always a plus!)
- Proactive self-starter
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and GoogleDocs
Time Commitment and Work Location:
- Academic Year or Semester Commitment
- 8-12 hours per week
- Office space at HI-Boston located on 19 Stuart Street, Chinatown

Who We Are
We bring travelers together in the largest hostel network in the USA, but that’s just the start: from local tours and experiences, to experiential learning programs, HI USA strives to bring moments of cultural understanding to our guests and community members. HI USA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, member-based organization that reinvests our surpluses back into our hostels and programs so they can have an even greater impact, year after year.
