Vice President of Development- Volunteer

We are looking for a Vice President of Development to support our fundraising efforts and serve as a volunteer on our Executive Board of Directors.

Roles and responsibilities:

Create and implement development and fundraising strategies in conjunction with the organization’s strategic plan

Prospect and cultivate individual donors to secure gifts in the range of $1,000 - $50,000

Build relationships with key community businesses and organizations to secure financial and in-kind support

Manage development volunteers and oversee volunteer activities (i.e. events, grants, database administration, etc.)

Partner with VP for Human Resources to recruit and train development volunteers

Assist in the research and writing of grants to secure financial support

Work with the Marketing team in the creation of necessary marketing materials

Qualifications:

5 - 10 years of fundraising experience

Bachelors degree in business, marketing, communications or related field

History of successfully securing gifts between $1,000 - $50,000

Ability to commit to 5 hours of work per week

General understanding of eating disorders and a passion for the Rock Recovery mission

Must live in the D.C. metro area and be able to share personal donor prospects
