Get some fresh air this summer and join us by volunteering at the Metro North Community Recycling Center on Saturday July 26 from 1:00 - 5:00 PM! This outdoor volunteer opportunity is also great for students on summer break who need to complete service learning hours.We have a special need for Saturday afternoon volunteers to help at the Metro North location. Volunteers assist the recycling center site manager with various duties, such as breaking down cardboard or styrofoam, assisting patrons, etc. All volunteers must register in advance. Bridging The Gap (BTG) educates citizens, businesses and governments about the impact their decisions have on our environment. We help them follow through with direct action to make our world, region and community green, healthy and sustainable.

BTG does this by working to create awareness of our environment and the need to make our communities sustainable at every level and in all life activities -- in homes, workplaces, schools and neighborhoods. In all of our work, we seek to create partnerships among governments, businesses, community leaders and individuals to improve our community by making it healthy and sustainable for our future.
