Saturday, October 8th, The National Mall, Washington, DC.
Volunteers are needed on the day of the event to help with set up, sign placement, information services, registration, promise flower distribution, cheerleaders, and route monitors. Every volunteer is important and essential to the success of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s! This is a great event for students, groups and clubs!

The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's is the world's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide and 7 locations in the National Capital Area Chapter region, this inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions.
COVID Statement: For the health and safety of our constituents, volunteers acting on behalf of the Alzheimer’s Association at outdoor in-person events must either be vaccinated against COVID-19 or receive a negative COVID test within seven days prior to the event

Mission Statement
The Alzheimer's Association is the world's leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research. As part of a nationwide network of chapters, the Alzheimer's Association National Capital Area Chapter provides care and support to people with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias and their families and caregivers in the District of Columbia, five counties in suburban and Southern Maryland and eleven counties in Northern Virginia. For more than 30 years, we have provided reliable information and care consultation; created supportive services for families; increased funding for dementia research; and influenced changes in public policy. The Alzheimer's Association National Capital Area Chapter is a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) nonprofit, donor-supported organization.
Description
The National Capital Area Chapter is affiliated with the national Alzheimer's Association, headquarted in Chicago. We serve persons with Alzheimer's disease and related disorders, their families, caregivers,professionals and communities in Northern Virginia, suburban Maryland and Washington, DC through support, counseling information, referrals, education, advocacy and research.
