We are looking for dedicated individuals who are passionate about providing equal access to education to join our rapidly growing tutor team. Tutors will assist with homework and other academic work on a weekly basis. We see tutors as an integral part of our mission to uplift students from disadvantaged backgrounds and help close the education gap. Must be available to tutor at least once a week from 3pm-5pm.

Description
Valley Family Center (VFC) was founded in 1987 with the mission to provide counseling and educational services that facilitate personal growth, strengthen the family unit, and protect human dignity for all persons in need.
To achieve the mission, Valley Family Center provides individual, couple and family therapy, coordinated services for victims, children, and perpetrators of domestic violence and parenting education.
The Learning Center provides tutoring and academic support for at-risk youth. VFC also provides school counseling services for children and their families at a local elementary school.
Valley Family Center is a non-profit, non-sectarian, 501 (c) 3 organization that is committed to making its services accessible to the low-income community of the San Fernando Valley who could not afford these services otherwise. Culturally competent programs are provided in English and Spanish. All program fees are based on a sliding scale, according to the ability to pay.
We continue to work diligently since we believe that our relationship with our clients is the single most important factor in successful therapy.
