ORGANIZATION: Stark County Hunger Task Force

The Stark County Hunger Task Force needs volunteers to help sell pop and beer at the Ribs Burnoff on Wednesday July 30th, Thursday July 31st and Friday, August 1st from 11:00am-10:30pm. We need 13 volunteers each day with an identified captain for each time slot to be in charge of the money. By volunteering your time, we have the opportunity to bring in 4,436 pounds of food for the hungry in Stark County!

These are the time slots that are still available...

Wednesday July 30th

Pop Booth #3

10:30am-2:30pm - 1 volunteer

2:00pm-6:30pm - 1 volunteer (needs to be the captain)

Beer Booth #4

4:00pm-10:30pm - 4 volunteers

Thursday July 31st

Beer Booth #4

4:00pm-10:30pm - 2 volunteers

Friday August 1st

Pop Booth #3

10:30am-2:30pm - 2 volunteers (one needs to be a captain)

2:00pm-6:30pm - 2 volunteers (one needs to be a captain)

Mission Statement

The board members of the Stark County Hunger Task Force believe that in any community a number of individuals will experience a crisis during their lifetime in which they are unable to provide adequate food for themselves and their families. It is our goal to depend on the generosity of our neighbors for assistance to satisfy that basic need.

Description

Since 1981, the Stark County Hunger Task Force has taken a positive role in battling the hunger needs of the community of Stark County. There are currently two dozen pantries of which they support -- who feed a total of 15,000 people every month.
