No horse experience needed! We will train you. There are lots of ways you can volunteer with Beyond Limits. Help with riding lessons and Hippotherapy, the instructors need assistance with beginner level riders and riders that cannot properly support themselves on the horse. Assist in the basic care and feeding of the horses, horses have to be fed every day, we have a team of volunteers that each take an evening feed. Work events and fundraisers. We also take the team to Special Olympics for a three-day show. There is something for everyone!

About Beyond Limits Therapeutic Riding
Location:
55 East Greenridge Rd, Cartersville, GA 30120, US
Mission Statement
To provide therapeutic horseback riding and other services for children and adults that promote and enrich their physical, developmental, psychological, and social well-being to encourage them to reach beyond limits.
Description
Last year, Beyond Limits Therapeutic Riding opened our doors to become the only therapeutic riding center in the Cartersville/Bartow County area also serving Cobb, Paulding and Cherokee Counties. We are a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization offering therapeutic horseback riding to children and adults with a wide range of challenges and disabilities.
Participation in sports and group recreational activities is a normal part of life for young people and essential for healthy social and emotional development. Unfortunately, children and young adults with disabilities are often limited to leisure activities that are solitary and confined to home. They may have limited social skills and/or poor physical coordination, which make socializing with others and participating in sports very difficult.
Therapeutic riding helps these special riders develop greater flexibility, balance and physical strength. Riders with developmental disabilities often show improved social skills, attention, and ability to follow instructions. The opportunity to bond with a horse is also very emotionally rewarding, and virtually all of our riders develop increased self-confidence.
